20/30 Vision Single Adult Ministry

Work… Class… Apartment… Gym… Are the places you spend your time just stress, hassle, and boredom…? How about a different kind of place where you can slow down and devote time to just being with friends who are friends in Christ?

Come join other young adults in their 20’s and 30’s who are taking time out to enjoy conversation and deepen their relationship with God. We meet each week at a relaxed gathering place in north Indianapolis to grow together as a group.

20/30 Vision Mission

Our mission is to provide an inviting environment where as young adults we can develop friendships and strengthen faith while feeling a greater connection to the Lutheran church.

Goals

o Meet other people who share a desire to grow in their faith
o Strengthen faith through fellowship & Bible study
o Share and learn from each other’s experiences
o Serve others through optional social & volunteer opportunities
o Connect and build ownership with leaders in the church

Programming/Administration

o We meet weekly on Sunday nights at 6pm at Claddagh’s – Map for directions
o All single adults from 13 Northside Lutheran Churches and friends are invited
o Participants can suggest future programs, service, & social events
o Network with leaders from many Northside Lutheran congregations and the community… People in business, entertainment, sports, spiritual life…

Current Study

Our fall / winter study is “Forward in Faith” from Concordia that addresses a variety of topics that include Balancing Work and Leisure, Job Pressures, Spiritual Gifts & Where We Fit In, Why Join a Church?, Male-Female Identity, etc.

On a typical evening, we spend the first 15-20 minutes ordering beverages and/or food. This is followed by an opening prayer and a recap of the previous study including any personal experiences members might want to share.

Each session includes a Bible study that relates directly to daily life, with discussion. We end with announcements and a closing prayer including any special prayer requests, followed by open-ended fellowship time.

Final Notes There is no registration for 20/30 Vision - just show up at 6:00pm any week at Claddagh’s on East 96th Street near Keystone & I-465.

Our program each week is different; so just come whenever you can and join right in.
