Assessment Process
Step One: Request for help
• From congregation
• From pastor
• From Bishop

Step Two: Initial meeting with two consultants
• to listen and share options
• to determine whether or not congregation will engage process
• no cost to congregation
|
Step Three: Initial data-gathering
• Led by Committee of Four (Bishop Stuck, two trained
consultants, one additional consultant)
• Small groups 6-12 people
• Recommendation by letter from Bishop Stuck to
take one of three tracks
• Congregation cost $600 plus expenses due
when contract is signed and sent
|
Congregation will follow one of the following three tracks recommended by Bishop Stuck:
Track A: CONFLICT
MANAGEMENT
• Descriptive
written report
distributed
• Congregational
Weekend for
teaching,
exercises, goal
setting
• Post-weekend
training and
problem-solving
• Follow-up
guidance
• $2400 plus
expenses and
materials (due
when contract is
signed and sent)

Track B: COMMITTEE
OF THREE and
CONFLICT
MANAGEMENT
• Prescriptive report
from Committee of Three
distributed
• Recommendations
acted upon by
congregation
• After actions
taken, Conflict
Management
similar to Track A
takes place

materials (due when
contract is signed and
sent)

CONGREGATIONS
