Welcome
to the Indiana-Kentucky Synod!
We
give thanks to God for the opportunity to share with you in the mission and ministry
that God has given us. Our mission is to empower, equip and encourage the people
of God to make Christ known. With the whole Evangelical Lutheran Church in America
we believe that we are claimed, gathered and sent for the sake of the world.
The year 2005 promises to be a year of growth for us as we continue to endeavor
to fulfill the mission that God has given us in the world. Like all churches in
this time, we are faced with opportunitities and challenges that will define us
as a people.
For
that reason, we open ourselves to God in prayer asking for guidance, strength
and hope as we journey together into the future.
You
are an important part of this journey and so we covet your prayers and support
as we work together. We also pledge to you our prayers and support as you endeavor
to serve where God has called you to serve. If we can be of specific help, please
