Ministries
Young Adults

Young adults between the ages of 18-39 are increasingly absent from our congregations and from organized religion in general.
Their ways of seeing and interacting with the world are unlike those of any previous generation, and this extends to their involvement – or lack thereof – with church. Many of the old models and approaches simply don’t work anymore, and some of the critiques – explicit or implied – being made by young adults offer valid challenges to the ways in which we currently understand what it means to be and do church.

The Indiana-Kentucky Synod is committed to working with both young adults and congregations to address these challenges and create spaces where young adults can wrestle with the big questions of faith, of life, and of what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ.
